The project was established as traditional US equity services and on-chain capital markets converge. Coinbase is expanding its equities, ETF and tokenized-securities business — and entering a new market is never only a matter of trading products and technical infrastructure. Sooner or later the most practical commercial question has to be answered: market share.
Market share is not an abstraction. It is built from real users, client assets, trading activity and long-term habits. That is especially true in equities and, in time, in tokenized securities: even when the products and the infrastructure are in place, scale does not follow unless enough traditional US equity investors understand the service, accept it, and keep using it.
So widening the equities and tokenized-securities footprint requires something to be built first — a broader base of traditional US equity investors who understand what the platform can offer, which problems those services solve, and how traditional securities and on-chain capital markets may converge from here.
For US investors, the most realistic and most mature need today is still traditional US equity investing. The project therefore starts exactly there, with US equity research and investor education: continuous market analysis, stock research, risk management, professional courses and interactive services. Members receive practical value from the beginning, and long-term trust and client relationships are built on purpose rather than assumed.
